Some times you end up doing rather crazy things while working. Like printing small dots one by one. I started this printing process in the summer. Then I had to put it away. Some days ago I wanted to continue, because these dots never stop fascinating me. The dots play with my eyes. And I like it. My eyes are blending the color, yellow and blue turns to green. Old wisdom, new ways to play while working. Monotypes, of course.
It must be something about childhood. There are angels everywhere. I think something more is going to happen in this print. I have to think about it.
Small girsl without fear. Speaking to the dragon, running side by side with a tiger. Drypoint on copper and plexiglas.
These prints are a kind of window back to childhood. Was it an elk in the forest or a bent tree? Is the strange woman dangerous or funny? Are the forest in the night filled with other things than in daytime? The night time is a time for fantasy. But also fear of darkness. As an artist, I am allowed to play at work. I do it often. Are you able to play at work or other places? Do it. It makes wonders.
